YOUNGSTOCK FOALS MARES STALLIONS

Tawna Raffles

Bay colt (minimal tobiano)

Born 27/03/26

Sire: Tawna Rubus

Dam: Tawna Freckles

FOR SALE Raffles arrived slightly before his due date, but there was nothing premature about him. As someone commented - he’s built like a box!

With his exquisite little head, strong legs, and compact body, we think he has a great future. To mature approx 30”

His undercoat is dark bay, so with his full set of socks and black and white tail, he is going to be such a smart pony.

Full brother to Frida, Freya and Fritz, we have deviated from the ‘F’ names this time: Raffles (sort of) combines both parents’ names, and we think it suits him. Photo taken 9th June

Tawna Fenella

Skewbald filly

Born 08/04/26

Sire: Breckenlea Scenario

Dam: Tawna Florence

NOT FOR SALE Our lovely girl Florence has come up with the goods again. This darling little filly is full sister to Flasheart (2024) who was a great favourite.

Fenella has inherited bold face markings from both parents - her star is like a big spotlight. She is very pretty, and if all Flossie’s other foals are anything to go by, she will have a huge personality.

We really like the Rio/Florence combination, and look forward to seeing this little girl develop. She’s very photogenic!

Tawna Daffodil

Palomino filly

Born 19/04/26

Sire: Tawna Champagne Charlie

Dam: Tawna Daphne

FOR SALE It’s absolutely wonderful to at last see our lovely Daphne with a foal at foot. She is the sweetest, gentle, calm-natured young mare, and is proving to be a super mother. Sadly we lost her previous two foals - both fillies.

This precious baby arrived unannounced, overtaking three far more likely candidates for the maternity wing!

Dilly is extremely pretty and feminine with a lovely head. She is gentle and friendly - takes the lead in coming over to say hello every day!

Tawna Murphy

(Dilute?) Black colt

Born 25/04/26

Sire: Tawna Champagne Charlie

Dam: Tawna Tia Maria

SOLD Tia is a very beautiful mare, a great favourite, and we already have two of her daughters in the stud - Sherry and Martini

Murphy is another super foal - smart, sturdy, upstanding, loads of presence - a good contender for the show ring. He is also an absolute bundle of mischief, into everything - his bright shiny eyes look very intelligent!

Both his parents are mushroom carriers so we will probably get him genetically tested.

Tawna Rosco

Chestnut colt

Born 28/04/26

Sire: Breckenlea Scenario

Dam: Tawna Rosetta

SOLD Three of Rosetta’s previous four foals by Rio have been fillies, and all have been extremely pretty.

This handsome colt also has a most attractive small head, and a pleasant outlook. He carries himself well with a lot of style.

I thought he might roan-out like his mum, but there are no signs at the moment.

He’s a friendly, confident little chap - he’s happy to come over - ears always pricked - for a scratch and tickle.

Tawna Posie

Piebald filly (minimal tobiano)

Born 28/04/26

Sire: Tawna Rubus

Dam: Tawna Pansy

SOLD Pansy popped out this baby with no trouble, but when the foal would not ‘latch on’, the following 16 hours were a real worry. What a relief when she eventually got the idea.

She is a very strong foal, squarely-built and placid in nature - like her wonderful mother. She is also extremely hairy - massive coat.

She might roan-out like Pansy. Her socks are very nicely matched, and a real bonus - finished off with black hooves and ermine spots - always attractive and special!

Thanks to Nadja’s mum for the name suggestion!

Tawna Flavian

Skewbald colt

Born 29/04/26

Sire: Tawna Rubus

Dam: Tawna Florentina

FOR SALE This dear little man is super-cute, and so evenly marked - pretty much the same on both sides. He has inherited his sire’s impressive stride - tracks up nicely.

Well done Florentina! He is this young mare’s second baby, and she produced both with no fuss or preamble.

In his build, neat little head shape and markings, he reminds me very much of Tawna Mr Kipling - our well-known stallion from many decades ago. If this lad develops anything like the characterful super-star status that Mr Kips did, he will make some owner very happy.

Tawna Arabella

Chestnut filly

Born 04/05/26

Sire: Breckenlea Scenario

Dam: Tawna Agnes

NOT FOR SALE What a thrill to have another beautiful foal from Agnes and Rio….and a filly! This strong well-built baby is a full sister to Apollo, Red Ember, Amber and Aramis.

We will probably (reluctantly) retire our wonderful Agnes this year, so it’s perfect that she has given us a worthy replacement . . . a friend said she was due to have a filly this time!

Arabella - love the name - has the super broad forehead and bold eye that Rio gives his babies. She’s a really rich shade of chestnut: I wonder if she will turn darker as she gets older, like Red Ember.

Tawna Albie

Palomino colt

Born 05/05/26

Sire: Tawna Champagne Charlie

Dam: Tawna Alice

FOR SALE This delightful little chap is very laid-back - calm disposition, just like last year’s Amelia who we retained.

Albie is so pretty - lovely head, and huge eyes. Like Amelia, he was quite small and slight at birth, but he is really shaping up well now. Amelia matured quickly and has exceeded our expectations as a yearling: both display the typical excellent front that Charlie stamps on his offspring.

Both parents are mushroom carriers, so good possibility that he is too. With Alice and Charlie both being champions, we would hope this boy has a bright future. To mature approx 30” - 31”    Photo taken 29th May
