The stallions we introduce into our breeding programme are very carefully selected for their bloodlines, quality and type. All our current senior stallions are producing championship-winning stock & we have some young lads in the wings.
REFERENCE STALLIONS
These are the important stallions that have helped form the backbone of the Tawna stud today. Each one had special attributes which we aimed to maximise in future generations through the offspring which we retained and used.
HOME-BRED STALLIONS
Home-bred stallions only have a limited use in our own stud. But many exceptional Tawna colts have been ‘run-on’ and licensed by ourselves or other breeders and these have had a notable impact on other studs. Here are some of our favourites.
